Empowerment Workshop in Ndiob, Senegal

🫶 Big reunion

After a year, we are back in Ndiob and have conducted an empowerment workshop with three families who have gained access to electricity through the sale of our chili sauces.

That's 42 more people in Ndiob who we were able to provide with first-time access to solar power, all thanks to your spicy support! Many thanks at this point for being part of our socially-spicy mission!

In the empowerment workshop, we discussed how electricity helps in building a self-determined life. It was particularly pleasing that the three "old" families were also present and took on their role as mentors.

The families told us that access to electricity helps them from day one, but it is still a challenge to use the electricity for economic purposes to escape financial poverty.

Of course, we are not giving up and are trying everything to find common solutions with the families.

Highlight #02: Empowerment Workshop in Meo, Senegal

🥳 Milestone Meo!

In a new village, we were able to provide 15 families with access to electricity for the first time, which they previously could not afford financially. In the Empowerment Workshop, we discussed together the positive effects of solar power and how families can best utilize it.

We always conclude our workshops with a signature to make the SOCHILI Good Plan (1 year of electricity) official. Unfortunately, it became apparent that many people cannot read and write.

Our hope is that access to electricity will also improve education in the long term.

The positive feedback from the families shows how much electricity has improved their daily lives. Here are some voices from the Empowerment Workshops:
