The base of our sauces consists of delicious chilies, regeneratively and organically grown and processed by a women's cooperative in Senegal. By creating new and fair trade relationships, we are committed to combating the existential problem of financial poverty on the ground. #helpingwithheat
We also design our products and packaging to be as sustainable as currently possible for us. We avoid plastic wherever possible, use minimalist packaging, and ship our products in grass paper boxes.
All the sauces in our unique SOCHILI hot sauce set are organic, vegan, use only natural ingredients, and are free from industrial sugar.

Frequently Asked Questions
We did a lot of tastings and one thing became clear to us: the perception of spiciness is subjective and varies from person to person. Expressed in Scoville Heat Units (SHU), the chili sauces have approximately the following heat levels:
- Jalapeño & Garlic: 750 SHU, comparable heat to the famous TABASCO® sauces.
- Habanero & Mustard: 30,000 SHU, for some like mustard, for others like fire.
- Habanero & Mango: 82,000 SHU, beware: hot!
In all our recipes, we place great emphasis on flavor and distance ourselves from chili sauces that only focus on spiciness. So: Try the chili sauces & let us know on Instagram how you liked them.
We use 100% natural and vegan ingredients – no artificial additives. So don't be alarmed if, for example, the olive oil separates in your Jalapeño & Garlic Sauce or freezes in the refrigerator. See it as proof that we only work with high-quality products. Just wait a minute, shake & you're good to go.
After opening, we recommend storing the chili sauces in the refrigerator and consuming them within three months.
Unopened, SOCHILI good hot sauces have a shelf life of approximately 2 years.

Jedes verkaufte SOCHILI Produkt finanziert einen Tag Strom – aktuell 0,51 €. Das Geld fließt an die Share The Power Foundation, die es an Partnervereine im Senegal weitergibt. Diese beauftragen lokale Solarinstallateure, die Familien ans Solarstromnetz anschließen. Jede Familie bekommt ein Jahr Strom kostenlos – plus einen Empowerment-Workshop. Konkret funktioniert es so:
- Dein Kauf spendet: Ob im Supermarkt, als Firmengeschenk oder im Onlineshop, jedes verkaufte Produkt finanziert einen Tag Strom. Das entspricht aktuell 0,51 €, die direkt an die Share The Power Foundation fließen.
- Spenden sammeln: Die Share The Power Foundation funktioniert wie ein gemeinnütziger Tresor. Sie sammelt die Mittel, ordnet sie zu und macht jeden Cent digital nachvollziehbar.
- Spenden verteilen: Die Foundation verteilt die Mittel an Partnervereine im Senegal. Gemeinsam mit den Partnervereinen wählt die Foundation die Dörfer und Familien aus, die Stromzugang erhalten sollen.
- Solarstrom installieren: Lokale Solarinstallateure werden von unseren Partnervereinen beauftragt und übernehmen die Hausinstallation – inklusive Steckdosen und Lampen. Damit haben die Familien erstmals Zugang zu Solarstrom.
- Familien empowern: Jede Familie erhält kostenlose Stromnutzung für ein Jahr – plus die Teilnahme an einem Empowerment-Workshop. Vor Ort wird gemeinsam besprochen, wie sich die neuen Chancen durch Solarstrom nutzen lassen.
Die Chilis sind für uns Mittel zum Zweck. Sie sind der Hebel für unseren Social Impact – der eigentliche Grund, warum es SOCHILI überhaupt gibt.
Das Geld, das wir in den Chilianbau investieren, hat im Senegal einen viel größeren individuellen Einfluss, als wenn wir zum Beispiel in den Niederlanden anbauen würden. Deshalb bauen wir dort an, wo unser Einkauf am meisten bewirkt.
